Beneteau First 375 - Project

£17,000.00

Boat Description

A great opportunity for a capable individual or group of people to take on this project that is already well underway, Gun Beat had a small fire in the engine bay approximately two years ago, we have started to recommission her but sadly our plans have now changed and we cannot finish this project with the time and skills that we have, the bulk of the work is cosmetic but some re wiring is required and the engine is largely ready to be re fitted, the Beneteau first 375 boasts superb sailing and lots of room down below, being one of very few boats of this size to have 3 private cabins and a large saloon/galley. Yard storage available with power and water, currently out of the water in Rochford, Essex to arrange a viewing please contact info@deanandholland.com or 01702 599018.

We have owned this boat for just under a year, we have worked on her on/off – mainly cleaning, the boat had a small fire near the engine bay, the flames did not cause any significant damage from what we can see but there was a lot of smoke damage, we have spent a lot of time cleaning pretty much every surface in the boat from the bilges right up to the over head, all linings had to be removed as the smoke had got behind them, the main challenge was removing the old lining glue, particularly in the forward & aft cabins, these surfaces are now ready to line, please find a list of what we would do next if we were keeping her.

1. Thermal fogging to neutralize smoke smell.
2. Partial or full rewire including new batteries.
3. Sand/Varnish aft Cabin bulkhead woodwork & refit companionway steps (included)
4. Sand/Varnish & refit internal doors.
5. Replace 3 port holes/windows in aft cabins.
6. Give engine bay final clean/potentially paint & re fit engine.
7. Once happy with electronics install Veltrim/Alcantara or similar for side linings.
8. Re fit galley including new gas line, service or replace fridge.
9. Wash upholstery and refit (some replacements may be needed)
10. Re fit water tanks.
11. Service any seacocks that need servicing.
12. Put the mast back up, go sailing.

This is just a rough plan of action, as with every project steps and elements may have been forgotten and of course the list will grow as you move through it.
